EXPERTISE OF VIC YOUNG CELEBRATED AT NISSAN BODYSHOP OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2016

On the 30th September, Vic Young (South Shields) Ltd were awarded 2nd place out of 150 Nissan approved bodyshops at the Nissan Bodyshop of the Year 2016 competition.

The competition, saw Greg Watson, Body and Repair Manager at Vic Young awarded second place at the grand final which was held at the Silverstone International Circuit.

The competition required the top 5 UK finalists to deliver a presentation focussing on how the company works with their nominated Nissan dealership and how they support Nissan drivers following an accident, as well as host a site visit to the bodyshop to see how Vic Young ensures quality repairs to Nissan vehicles.

Impressing the judges, Greg was named as one of the top three finalists invited to Silverstone to enjoy an exciting ‘Nissan GT Academy’ themed track day. Greg and his colleague, Alan Dean, drove Nissan sports cars, were coached on the professional race car simulator, competed against the fellow finalists on the PlayStation Pods, and experienced the ‘Juke Skiddy Socks’ driving challenge.

Greg said of the success: “I am delighted that we came second out of all of the Nissan approved bodyshops in the UK and that I invited to the Nissan GT Academy – it was certainly a memorable experience!
