VIC YOUNG PROVIDES BESPOKE CONVERSION FOR WORLD FAMOUS DEPARTMENT STORE

This week, Vic Young (South Shields) Ltd have launched their latest bespoke vehicle adaptation for one of the UK’s most prestigious brands, the Nissan e-NV200. Vic Young Conversions transformed the Nissan e-NV200 into a 100 percent refrigerated vehicle conversion for Harrods of London, the world's most famous department store.

Vic Young Conversions have provided an innovative and bespoke conversion to meet the requirements of Harrods’ delivery service. The load space of the van has been fully refrigerated to include a self-powered refrigeration unit, auto defrost on freezer unit and a choice of freezer (-20°c) or chiller (-5°c) operation with a 230v fridge operation. The vehicle also meets the ultra-low emissions standards provided by the government. The fridge control unit can be located in the cab. Shelving units added to allow for fresh groceries to be transported in optimum condition. The exterior has also been wrapped in the traditional green and gold Harrods livery to make it recognisable as it travels around the city.

The e-NV200 has a range of up to 170km on a single charge*, which means it is easily capable of making up to 50 deliveries per week covering an average distance of 241km in the London area with Harrods only needing to charge it once a week. With an average running cost of as little as 2 pence per mile, the e-NV200 offers an alternative, practical solution which will have a positive effect on city-centre air quality.
