VIC YOUNG WINS SERVICE AWARD AT THE NORTH EAST BUSINESS AWARDS

South Shields based motor retail firm Vic Young Ltd is celebrating after winning the Services Award, sponsored by the University of Sunderland, at the North East Business Awards’ grand final. The awards took place on Thursday 16th March 2017 at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland.

Organised by The Journal newspaper, in association with their sister paper The Gazette and the North East Chamber of Commerce, the awards celebrate the inspiring work of the North East business community over the past 12 months.

Vic Young, a family-run business established more than 40 years ago, is a main dealership for Mitsubishi in Tyneside. It provides a broad spectrum of vehicles for sale, rent and short-term hire as well as fleet management services, servicing, vehicle hire, parts and accident and repair. The firm’s portfolio also includes a specialist Motability division, Vic Young Mobility, which supplies cars, adaptations and wheelchair accessible vehicles, and Vic Young Conversions, which develops unique conversions for various specialist vehicles including those for full Motability approval, as well as standard vehicle conversions.

The awards, staged by The Journal and The Gazette, and in association with the North East Chamber of Commerce continue to be the biggest of their type in the country and are a celebration of our area and the great businesses that underpin it.
