South Shields car dealership sponsors Bradley Lowery football tournament

On May 27th 2018 Bradley Lowery’s memory and legacy were honoured at a fundraising football tournament held at Walker F.C.

Over 1000 people attended the tournament which featured sixteen local teams, including Walker Central Football Club and Newcastle Benfield. The whole event successfully helped to raise £2,590 for the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

Footy mad Bradley Lowery sadly passed away on July 7th 2017 at the tender age of 6 after a 4.5 year battle with Neuroblastoma.

Bradley’s mother Gemma Lowery said “I tried everything within my power to try and help Bradley survive, but unfortunately it never worked. I want to try and help other children achieve the goal we didn’t. Bradley has created a legacy that we are so proud of. Myself, my family and my team want to carry on his legacy and do my little boy proud.”

“Our aim with the foundation is to help and support campaigns to raise funds for medical treatment/equipment not available on the NHS.”

Darren Hannah, Sales Manager for Vic Youngwho sponsored the footballing event said: “All in attendance had a fantastic day with some great football being played for a good purpose. Bradley’s story touched so many people’s hearts across the country, including myself and many of my colleagues at Vic Young Car Dealership. This is why we were so keen to get involved and support this great cause.”
