What is the Motability scheme?
Since its establishment in 1978, the Motability scheme has helped provide independence for well over 600,000 households by making brand new cars more available for people with disabilities.
If yourself or a member of your family are disabled, and receive the required allowances to for the Motbaility scheme - you may be able to take advantage of receiving a brand-new car every 3 years.
Do I qualify for the Motability scheme?
The Motability charity scheme is available to anyone who is receiving any of the following allowances, and has at least one year remaining on their award:
Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
Even if you are unable to drive yourself, you are still allowed to lease a brand-new MG car through the Motability Scheme and have up to two named drivers who can drive the vehicle for you.
