CHARITY DRIVE FOR ST CLARE’S HOSPICE
We are proud to have been the Platinum sponsor at the St Clare’s Hospice Sporting Evening, which was held on Friday 4 March 2016 at Hedworth Hall in South Shields.
It was a fantastic evening and special guest speakers, former Sunderland AFC manager Peter Reid and former Sunderland AFC captain Kevin Ball, shared some entertaining stories of their glory days.
The evening raised over £10,000 and will go towards patient care at the hospice, which supports people with terminal and life limiting illnesses who live south of the Tyne.
As a local business, we’re delighted to be playing a small part in helping St Clare’s Hospice raise money and boost awareness of the fantastic work the organisation does in supporting patients and their families.
Vic Young, managing director of Vic Young, said: “Many people will have their lives touched by cancer, so it’s important that businesses and the public get behind charities like St Clare’s Hospice. As a family run firm we have been supporting a number of charities including the hospice for over 20 years and for us it is all about giving back to the communities in which we work.”
