UNDER 15 FOOTBALL TEAM ACHIEVES BIG WIN WITH VIC YOUNG

Hylton Boys FC

Hylton u15s, who are sponsored by Vic Young have won the Durham U15s cup final.

Hylton had a great start scoring in the first 5 mins from a lovely corner that was knocked down by Luke Hannah and headed in by Harry Gardiner.

On 25 mins the second was scored after a lovely ball was played over their defence for James Harrison to run onto and finish. It was a great bit of football.

Winning the midfield battle

Darlington pushed on and provided a real test with two pacey players upfront but Daniel Huddleston, Robert Fowler, Luke Hannah and Michael Appleton were all strong in the tackle and dealt with them well.

The middle 3 of Jak Colledge, Lewis Connolly and Lewis Lukeman won their midfield battle and played some quality football providing service for the front 3 who caused them a lot of problems.

The one time Darlington looked like they were going to score goalkeeper Tobie James made an excellent save one on one.

Hitting the top corner from 25 yards

The next goal was massive and thankfully it came for Hylton when Arron Finlinson picked the ball up on half way after a great tackle by Lewis Connolly to win the ball. Arron Finlinson beat a few players before hitting a raker into the top corner from 25 yards.

That’s Hylton U15 boys first trophy in the bag with plenty more sure to come.
