VIC YOUNG SPONSORS YEAR 7 BOYS RUGBY CUP FINAL

Continuing the tradition of assisting with rugby events in the local area, Vic Young sponsored the year 7 boys rugby final. The winning team that took home the trophy was Emmanuel College.

Four teams took part in the event and all were complimented for their dedication to the game. Sponsoring young people is important for the community as it gives schools and colleges the opportunity to host more events and garner more interest in sport among their students.

Maria Cooke, Project Manager at Vic Young was on hand to give the trophy to the team. Maria was delighted with the event: "All the teams played brilliantly and it was a pleasure to present the winners with their much deserved cup".

Vic Young, Managing Director added: "Rugby is a game close to my heart so it is always an honour to help in any way we can with events like this".

Over the last four decades, Vic Young has been a champion of the local community in South Tyneside and the wider North East and has supported a number of businesses, charities and private individuals. This commitment to the region was recognised at the North East Business Awards 2016 grand final where the company was awarded the Heart of the Community trophy.
